STEM Play: Integrating Inquiry Into Learning Centers
Englehart Edd, Deirdre
An excellent book for Kindergarten teachers looking to incorporate STEM into their program. The first section of the book discusses the importance of STEM for early learners. The next sections of the book cover lesson ideas for STEM activities at the various centres in your classroom eg. blocks, arts, dramatic play. It also gives suggestions for materials to put into these centres. Finally it gives you some assessment tools and tracking sheets you could use when completing the STEM activities.

This book is great for anyone looking to understand the history of STEM education and why incorporating the Arts into the picture is important. I liked the many ideas/lessons linked by QR codes in the book.
Invent To Learn: Making, Tinkering, and Engineering in the Classroom Martinez, Sylvia Libow
Love this book and all that it talks about. This is probably my go to text for this TLLP. Not only does it talk about why STEM education is so important to our students but it also goes thorough how to set up a classroom and talks about various materials you may want to add to your STEM program.
